SCOPE:

It is designed to reinforce previously learned mathematical skills, and

introduce Algebra concepts and new terminology to the students.

SEQUENCE:

The lessons will be presented in daily modules. Each day will begin

with a review of the previous day's material and any other review

material that is required for the current day's lesson. The teacher

will monitor and adjust the length of each lesson based on the overall

understanding demonstrated by the students.

LEARNING ACTIVITIES:

The learning activities in this class will fall into one of the following categories:

Individual in-class activities, Group in-class activities, and Homework, as defined in the Arizona State Standards. (www.ade.az.gov)

Individual In-Class Activities Note taking

Group In-Class Activities Completion of samples and worksheets

Cooperative learning Individual practice

Homework

EVALUATION:

Home and Class Work 40%

Chapter Tests 60%

Homework and class work will be assigned on a daily basis. Exams will

be administered at the conclusion of each chapter

LATE WORK POLICY:

Work will only be accepted late due to illness or family emergency.

TUTORING:

If a student needs extra help I am available before, during, and after school.

CLASSROOM RULES:

1. Respect others and their property at all times

2. Come to class on time with all materials and assignments

3. Do not interfere with the education process.
